EVERNA VOYAGE | The Emperor's New Clothes

THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES

**Verse 1**

In the land of Arcadia, where the sun always shines,

Lived an emperor so grand, in his silks and his fine.

Dulcimer Geine the Third, with his head held high,

Chased the finest of fashions, let the kingdom slide by.

**Chorus**

Oh, the emperor's new clothes, woven out of air,

Invisible threads, but he didn’t care.

Pride and vanity, a grand parade,

But the truth in a child’s voice would not fade.

**Verse 2**

Two cunning swindlers, with their looms of deceit,

Spun tales of a fabric no eyes could meet.

“Only the wise and the pure will see,” they said,

And Dulcimer, blinded by pride, was easily led.

**Chorus**

Oh, the emperor's new clothes, woven out of air,

Invisible threads, but he didn’t care.

Pride and vanity, a grand parade,

But the truth in a child’s voice would not fade.

**Bridge**

Through the streets of Myrcalia, the people did cheer,

As the emperor marched on, with nothing to wear.

But a child’s clear voice cut through the pretense,

And Dulcimer’s heart sank, with the truth so immense.

**Chorus**

Oh, the emperor's new clothes, woven out of air,

Invisible threads, but he didn’t care.

Pride and vanity, a grand parade,

But the truth in a child’s voice would not fade.

**Outro**

Now the bards sing of Dulcimer, wise and bold,

Not for his robes, but for the lessons untold.

For in the end, it wasn’t the clothes that were grand,

But the wisdom he gained, that made him a man.
