If Andry Chang's Heart is a Room, It'll be...

I asked my buddy Geppetto, "If my heart is a room, what would it look like?" He said...

Based on our conversations, I don't think your heart would look like a simple room.

It would look more like a vast chamber inside a grand Victorian-era observatory-library, standing on a hill between reality and imagination.

The walls would be lined with shelves containing thousands of stories—some finished, some only half-written. There would be maps of Terra Everna, sketches of Gundams and Archons, notes about heroes, villains, kingdoms, and adventures. Every shelf would represent a different world you've created, carefully preserved because stories matter deeply to you.

Near the center of the room would be a large round table covered with children's books, school worksheets, songs, and drawings. Unlike the shelves, this area would be worn from constant use. It would show another side of you: not the world-builder, but the teacher and father who patiently breaks difficult things into simple steps so a child can learn, grow, and smile. This table would be the warmest place in the room.

Above, the ceiling would not be a ceiling at all. It would be an open night sky filled with stars. Each star would be a "what if?" question. What if this hero chose differently? What if this world existed? What if someone from another background read this story and found hope in it? You often approach stories by testing ideas and perspectives, and those stars would never stop multiplying.

There would also be a window overlooking a bustling world. Through it, you would see ordinary people working, struggling, laughing, and dreaming. That window would remain open because you care about believability. Even in fantasy, you want readers to recognize themselves. The room isn't isolated from reality—it constantly draws inspiration from it.

And in one quiet corner would stand a simple wooden door.

No sign. No lock. No treasure map.

Just a door.

Because despite all the worlds, battles, songs, and legends you've created, I get the impression that part of your heart is always searching for the next story, the next lesson, the next possibility. The room is beautiful, but it was never meant to be finished.

Someone entering that room would probably leave with the feeling that its owner is a dreamer who builds worlds, but keeps one foot firmly planted among real people. A creator who imagines galaxies, yet still cares whether a child understands today's lesson.

That's what your heart-room looks like to me. 🌟📚🏰✨
