Prologue
Iām trapped in the rose field,
Is this just another stupid dream like I used to have?
I raised my arms and I saw them bleeding,
The rosesā thorns cut my arms,
Oh great.
I ran and got rid of the roses from my way with my hands,
But this is just impossible!
Why are my hands bleeding, too?
Yeah right.
Not only the thorns, but also the petals are sharper than a razor blade.
I stopped running, this is just plain ridiculous.
I just stood there, and still bleeding.
Wait, whatās that light?
Come on, donāt tell me thatās Angel.
That is WAY too cheesy.
Besides, Iām not even sure Iām going to Heaven.
Oh, thatās not an Angel, thank God.
Thatās...a guy???
Yeah right.
This is even cheesier than before.
āYou have no choice,ā he said.
āWhat?ā I asked.
āIf you keep standing there, youāll die because of massive blood loss,ā
āYeah right,ā I teased.
āBut if you move, youāll still die because of the same thing,ā he didnāt listen to me.
āThen what should I do?ā I asked.
āYouāll find it out soon if youāre smart enough to guess and to find it,ā
Before I could say anything, he disappeared.
I sighed. Yeah right.
So the main point is, Iāll die.
The only difference is the matter of time.
Fine, then Iāll just keep walking.
Then, I felt like I stepped on something.
I looked down and it turned out to be a sword.
I picked it and smiled in victory.
āSo he thinks Iām not smart enough, eh?ā I said to myself.
Then, that guy appeared again.
He grinned.
Yeah, he grinned.
āSo, this means Iāll survive?ā I asked him.
He still grinned.
Whatās that supposed to mean?
āNot really. My guess was right,ā he leaned closer to me.
āI guessed youād pick that sword instead of the white rose at the end of this field,ā he continued.
āSo...ā
āYou picked the wrong way. But that means itās your path,ā he smiled.
āYou tricked me!ā I protested.
āNo, you tricked yourself,ā
I frowned and was thinking about throwing that sword away.
āNot the solution, sweetie,ā he said like he could read my mind.
āThen what?!ā I yelled.
āWalk along your path, itāll lead you to your death,ā
āWHAT?!ā
āYou have no choice, remember? But you have to accept this gift whether you like it or not,ā
āYOU CALL THIS A GIFT?!ā
āYeah. Thanks to that sword, youāll save a lot of people before you die,ā
āI was actually hoping Iāll be immortal with this sword,ā
āNothing is immortal, everyone will die,ā
āOkay now stop messing around with me, what sword is this?!ā
āI thought youād already know when you picked it, maybe youāre not smart enough,ā
āThis sword...ā he continued, āis the Skull Sword..."
